HAMR Energy attend Singapore International Bunkering Conference

This week our team, Donald Fraser and David Stribley represented HAMR Energy at the Singapore International Bunkering Conference (SiBCON) hosted by Maritime and Port Authority of Singapore (MPA).

The event focused on accelerating the maritime fuel transition; some key highlights for the team;

  1. Clear regulations will be key to meeting the IMO's interim decarbonisation targets (70% by 2040.. big challenge!).

  2. Collaboration across the sectors, from fuel producers, ship lines and customers will be key to meeting the IMOs targets

  3. All fuels will be needed in the future, and different fuels will likely be used for different sectors (obviously we think Methanol is a pretty good choice!), Biofuels will be critical to meet near term targets.

  • HAMR Energy is an Australian energy company dedicated to accelerating the nation’s transition to low-carbon fuel. With our expertise in intricate energy projects, we produce green methanol to help decarbonise the shipping sector. We are committed to reducing carbon emissions and Australia's reliance on fuel imports. This will enhance energy security and build the economy.

    We have the expertise, technology and vision to produce one million tonnes of green methanol per year by 2030, if we get the right backing and support.
