ABC News | Forestry industry says it can meet demand for biofuels as climate targets near

As seen on ABC | HAMR Energy was featured in a recent ABC News article highlighting the future of Australia's sustainable fuel industry. The piece discussed our newly signed MOU with forestry company OneFortyOne and our shared vision to convert under-utilised forestry biomass into low-carbon biofuel.

This partnership will supply our flagship project in Portland, Victoria, using forestry biomass from OneFortyOne’s 80,000 hectares of pine plantations in the Green Triangle region.

The article detailed how this collaboration provides a powerful solution for forestry residue, noting that such innovative projects directly support the federal government's $1.1 billion Cleaner Fuels Program and Australia's ambitious 2035 climate targets. It also stressed the importance of developing local clean fuel production to decarbonise essential industries like shipping and aviation.
