Qantas is Australia’s flagship airline and one of the world’s most experienced carriers, with a long-standing commitment to reducing the carbon intensity of flight.
INVOLVEMENT WITH HAMR ENERGY
Qantas is an investor in HAMR Energy through the Australian Sustainable Aviation Fuel investment fund, supporting the development of a domestic supply of sustainable aviation fuel (SAF) and HAMR Energy’s pathway from renewable feedstock to low-carbon jet fuel. "Qantas has a SAF target of 10% by 2030 and need SAF produced here in Australia in order to meet that".

thyssenkrupp Uhde provides the integrated biomass-to-methanol solution featuring proprietary PRENFLO® gasification and uhde® green methanol technology. They bring proven process technology and EPC expertise to HAMR Energy’s projects, underpinning the conversion of renewable biomass into low-carbon methanol.

Honeywell UOP is a global technology leader with process solutions are deployed across the energy and chemical industries worldwide.
INVOLVEMENT WITH HAMR ENERGY
HAMR Energy's South Australian SAF facility will use Honeywell UOP's eFining™ technology to produce up to 140 million litres of SAF per year from renewable methanol. Honeywell’s technology and licensing support enable HAMR Energy to convert renewable methanol into sustainable aviation and marine fuels efficiently and reliably.
The combination of Honeywell technology and HAMR Energy’s feedstock strategy creates a clear, scalable route to low-carbon fuels.
